Guatemala Scholarship

Help us make a difference by sponsoring a scholarship!

The 2025 Guatemala
Scholarship Fund

In 2000, RPC mission teams to Guatemala saw the need for a scholarship program to help young students in the District of Quiché afford a Christian education. These annual scholarships, funded by RPC members and friends, cover tuition, books, and materials for a full school year, giving students a chance for a brighter future.

Scholarship Support covers one year of Christian school tuition, at $350 per student.

Thanks to generous support, the RPC Guatemala scholarship program has grown from helping one student in 2001 to 236 in 2024. It is our prayer that you will join us in this effort of communities in Guatemala!

We invite you to give the gift of joy to a child in honor or memory of a loved one. Since 1998, the RPC congregation has generously supported our Mission Partners through the Annual Children's Christmas Fund, helping children experience the joy of Christmas all year.

Gifts can be made anytime, but to be included in the printed Honorarium List, gifts must be made by Monday, December 16 to be in the Worship Guide on Sunday, December 22. Gifts submitted after this date will be included in the digital Honorarium List.

What does it mean to sponsor a wreath? Sponsoring a veteran’s wreath is a personal gift of gratitude and remembrance for someone who served this country so that we can be free.

Your sponsorship supports the yearlong mission to remember the fallen, honor those who serve, and teach the next generation the value of freedom, while making new and existing free programs available to the masses. With each sponsorship made, a veteran’s wreath will be placed to honor an American hero at participating locations this year on National Wreaths Across America Day.

This Advent, donate toys and gifts or volunteer for NFCC Toyland to help bring smiles to over 1,300 children in our community at Alderman Hall. The Toyland Shop is collecting new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0-18. Popular toys from holiday gift guides are great choices!

Your donations of toys and gift cards will bring joy to children and ease the financial burden on their parents, allowing them to focus on essentials like utilities, rent, and food.

St. Simon Island, GA

We are so excited that the Family Mission Trip is back for 2025! We will serve in the areas surrounding St. Simon's Island April 7-11, 2025. We will meet in St. Simon's Monday, April 7 at 4:00 p.m. and leave Friday, April 11 after breakfast. Lodging and meals are at Epworth by the Sea on St. Simon's. We will serve Tuesday-Thursday morning in a variety of ways (past examples include cleaning debris from marshland, a car wash at an assisted living home, and serving at the Boys and Girls Club). Meals are included from dinner Monday-breakfast Friday. Youth aged middle school and above may attend without their families as part of the "youth family."

**Registration is only needed for one adult family member. Later in the registration process, you will list the names of additional family members attending.

Kickoff: Sunday, June 1

4-year-olds (by June 2, 2025) to rising 5th graders

Registration will open in March 2025.

RPC True North VBS 2025:
Children ages 4 (by June 2, 2025) through 5th grade are invited to join us for a wonderful week of Vacation Bible School. 

VBS will take kids on an unforgettable Alaskan adventure where the northern lights shine over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and sparkling glaciers. As they trek the tundra, they’ll discover how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today.  Guiding them towards Jesus, True North VBS reveals that He is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!. 

Children will learn Bible stories, and participate in fun recreational games, music, and crafts. This event is free! We also need volunteers to help make this week a success.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) Volunteer

VBS Volunteer Training:
 Training sessions will be held on the evening of May 29 and the morning of June 1, 2025. Times TBD. Each volunteer must attend one of the two trainings to ensure that everyone is prepared and ready for VBS 2025.

Every volunteer 18 and older must complete a background check. If you have not had a background check completed with Roswell Presbyterian Church (RPC) in the past 3 years, RPC will initiate one on your behalf for you to complete via email. We will initiate the background check a few weeks before VBS 2025 begins. A current RPC background check is mandatory for all volunteers 18 or older.
